This is my second tattoo, which I got about two months ago. It’s a quote from Oscar Wilde (though I chose to take out the “and” between the two lines), and was used in the song Topeka by the band Ludo. Even though I’m young, I have made some choices in my past I would rather not be judged on. I have always believed in second chances and I think that just because someone has made questionable choices in the past doesn’t mean they aren’t a good person. I used to catch Monarch butterflies as a little girl and call them my best friends. They still inspire me in a way nothing else in nature can. I have spent my whole life hurting and treating my body so poorly. I finally decided to do something beautiful for my body. Thank you, body.
